Yeah, I have no idea what a Mung Daal is, but his key role is clear:

Yeah, Dwight Schultz has made a name for himself in voice acting in recent years, he’s actually pretty versatile in his performances and range and he’s actually underrated in my opinion.

Also Chowder fucking kicked ass.

When they do a BTTF remake he’ll be Doc Brown too.

Chowder was HIGHLY underrated.

“Hey Schnitzel, can you come help me pinch this loaf...of bread?”

Looking back on it, he really played the lunatic quite well, and was totally believable in that role. In fact, once Dirk Benedict got there, the group really did seem to nail their roles perfectly. Although truth be told Tim Dunigan could have been good in the role too, but I guess we’ll never know.

Dirk was there for the entire run of the show, wasn’t he?

He actually wasn’t in the pilot. The other guy was. The story I always heard was that the reason they went with Dirk was because the other guy was too young to be a believable Vietnam Vet.

Just paid IMDB a visit, you’re right. Dirk was in every episode but the first.

I had no idea there was another Tempelton.

Kinja'd!!!

Makes sense, since Dirk ws probably busy filming his workout video when they set the shooting schedule for the pilot.

Maybe he should have.

Still miss John Candy. He was by far my favorite comedic actor when I was growing up.
